Clayton County Probate Court
Judge Pam Ferguson has served as the Clayton County Probate Judge since 2003 with honor and integrity. Judge Pam Ferguson has 27 years of legal experience and 13 years as a Probate Judge. She is well respected for her knowledge and willingness to work hard by other Probate Judges across the state of Georgia. She has severed on various committees for the Probate Judge's Council during her years in office, including mental health, rules and forms and hand book. She was the Chair of the Rules and Forms Committee for 9 years. These forms are vital to Probate Courts across the state as they enable both attorneys and pro se litigants to bring actions in Probate Court. She is one of a handful of Judges who have received the Special Recognition award twice during her time as a Probate Judge.
In addition to her regular duties, she has implemented several programs including but not limited to "Clayton County Visiting Friends" and a mental health court, The Clayton County Treatment Court (CCTC). The ground work for both of these programs began in 2009. In spite of opposition, The CCTC began operation in June of 2013 and numerous participants have successfully graduated and not returned to the Clayton County jail. The Visiting Friends Program matches volunteers to adult wards who have guardianship cases in Clayton County. This insures these individuals are being cared for properly and to provide social interaction. She is involved in CIT (Crisis Intervention Training) to help law enforcement officers identify and properly address situations that involve individuals suffering from mental illness. She is a life time resident of Clayton County and has served on various service organizations and is very involved in her church. She has been married to Nick Roberts for 26 years and they have three children. She is honored to serve the community as Probate Judge and needs your vote to continue her service and dedication to Clayton County.
